Matthew 7:3-5
'And why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye?
Or how can you say to your brother,
'Let me remove the speck from your eye'; and look, a plank is in your own eye? Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and
then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.'

This has been the basis behind all my healing within the past 12 years. I had to focus on me and healing me.
Look In The Mirror
Self Assessment
requires that you take inventory and ownership by learning who you truly are. #lookinthemirror
YOU LOOK AT YOU!
The above scripture is VERY important in healing and should be one of the first things you ask God to help you with. If we cannot see ourselves, our own faults, our own behavior, we can't really see things in life very clear. It's much harder to stay safe, to protect ourselves or our family and it's much harder to keep moving forward through all of the hardships. Learn who you are and don't be a part of the blame game. Blamers cannot see themselves. Take a step up and be the bigger person.

WHO'S UNDER YOUR MICROSCOPE?
Is this you? Do you put others under the microscope but can't see yourself?
If we always look to fix someone else, degrade them or blame them, we may not be ready to heal completely and let it all go. Check yourself. Ask God to show you your heart. Ask God to show you what YOU need to know to get started.
The first thing He showed me was love. I had to research love. I had to see my own actions and how they affected others. This is what started my healing, even while the abuse was still happening. What has God asked YOU to do? Have you done it or at least tried to start? Why or why not? What is stopping you? Don't be afraid to see yourself through God's eyes. He is the PERFECT ONE to show you who you are. His love will not let you down.

WHAT MATTERS MOST?
What matters is who you really are. God made us with strengths and weaknesses. We all have them. Sometimes in life, we get confused about our identity because of what others have told us, how they have degraded us or how we view ourselves. It's time to see yourself how God sees you.

Look in the mirror and ask God to show you, you, the way He sees you.
This step in healing won't happen overnight, but it is VERY important to keep pushing through the dislikes you have about yourself. This is to realize that you are unique and that's just the way God designed you. He made you for a purpose and that purpose is inside of you. Once you begin to tap into God's love for you, He will begin to draw out that purpose and you will be so happy with you and the plan that God has for your life. Never allow what people say to hold you back. I know it is difficult oftentimes in life to find people that want to encourage us, but just get up and keep going forward and you WILL find them.
